A Global Day of Jihad

FRIDAY THE THIRTEENTH was declared a global day of jihad by Hamas. Astonishingly, some people, including in the West, took it to heart. Thousands protested across the Middle East in support of the Palestinian cause, as well as throughout Europe. France actually banned the demonstrations after violence erupted. Even Australia had its share of protests. People allegedly gave Nazi salutes outside of the Jewish Museum in Sydney. Dumb, spoiled ‘snowflakes’ protested at their Ivy League schools in the U.S. in antisemitic hissy fits. At Harvard, students blamed Israel for Hamas attacks. Columbia actually closed its campus due to protests.

At best, it’s embarrassing. There is no nuanced thought anymore. Once-upon-a-time, the Palestinian plight was something you could be sympathetic to—back during WWI when Britain wanted to find a place for Jews and the 1917 Balfour Declaration was penned, establishing that little patch of ‘holy’ land as a perfect homeland for them. It was the beginning of Zionism. The fact others—Palestinians— would be displaced was an afterthought to the extent it was thought about at all.

Fast-forward to the formal creation of the State of Israel in 1948, after all the horrors of Naziism and WWII. The world’s sympathies flipped. Palestinians did, in fact, get screwed, but never managed to muster a world audience willing to hear its legitimate claims and complaints, especially after it became de rigueur for them to protest using violence, which Israel successfully portrayed as terrorism. Eventually, Israel became sophisticated at playing a good hand its benefactors dealt, and it remains so today. The Holy Land is, in fact, a master at propaganda.

Despite the West’s stacked deck in Israel’s favor, it doesn’t follow Israelis deserve to die at Palestinian hands. A two-state solution is probably the best even if it’s not ideal, but the two primary parties and regional neighbors need to negotiate any future deal. Israel will not, however, negotiate with ‘terrorists,’ nor should it be expected to. Both sides have valid points, not necessarily equally compelling ones, but points nonetheless. If this were an easy problem, it would’ve been solved already.

The consensus is that Iran and its Gaza-based proxy, Hezbollah, is behind this. Exactly why is less clear since historically, Palestinians had a hard time even getting Arabs to meaningfully support them, let alone, Persians. Some, including The Epoch Times’ C.C.P. expert Joshua Phillip, have surmised there is a concerted effort by China to put the United States in a four-front war that will exhaust all its resources and ultimately divest it of its world hegemony. One of those wars, it is said, must be a terrorist war. What could be better than Hezbollah, which wants to take down America’s staunchest middle eastern ally, Israel?

The four fronts are, ostensibly, Russia/Ukraine, Iran/Israel, China/Taiwan, and Mexico/America (i.e., the border crisis). Three of the four are already in play. What could be better than to have the illegitimate occupant of the White House running the show? He’s a Chinese hand puppet himself and will help move things along swimmingly. Undoubtedly, there are others in government, specifically the House and Senate, who are also corrupted by the C.C.P., especially some from the West Coast, including former Speaker of the House (D-Calif.) Nancy Pelosi. In this framework, things start to make sense, although maybe it’s all just a coincidence.

Old Joe now says he won’t forward the $6 billion to Iran in the prisoner deal it made after being criticized for effectively financing the Hamas attacks on Israel.  The money, however, is apparently in Qatar, whose Prime Minister said he’d keep the money out of Iranian hands but then said he intends to honor the agreement Israel and Iran made. Israel Defense Forces has made a “very intentional” plea to evacuate Gaza to prevent harm to one million civilians, but Hamas is apparently blocking them from doing so. Hamas is also putting up roadblocks in Gaza City. Egypt and Syria are refusing the mass exodus of refugees they envision and have closed the borders. This has resulted in the U.N. pleading with Israel to rescind its Gaza evacuation order

Anyone should be able to see how this plays out. The U.S. will pay Egypt and Jordan and perhaps others to take in the refugees in a financial package that will break the bank. Those the U.S. cannot find homes for there will be given clandestine instructions to the Darien Gap to get into the U.S. furtively. U.S. taxpayers will be on the hook, and their so-called leaders will be hailed as ‘problem solvers.’ It’s not far-fetched. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken isn’t in Jordan to test this years’ wine bouquet after a quick dip in the Dead Sea. Thank God or Allah or Whoever that Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin is also abroad, meeting with Israelis in Tel Aviv. That plays out in concert, too. The Israelis will give a list of weapons they need, like maybe batteries for the Iron Dome, and they will be ceremoniously provided.

Meanwhile, in just a few days, Old Joe gave Ukraine another $200 million in aid and another few million illegal aliens got free passes to their favorite U.S. cities…

Nuclear, Biological, Chemical, and Conventional Weapons Everywhere. Oh My!

FOR YEARS, THE U.S. AND ITS ERSTWHILE PARTNERS have been wringing their hands over the inevitable Manhattan Project that Iran was pursuing. Tehran’s nuclear ambition was insatiable and weapons-grade uranium was said to be imminent. Today, there appears to be evidence it is true.

A report released by the International Atomic Energy Agency (the U.N. watchdog)  was leaked on Tuesday which said IAEA inspectors found 83.7% enriched uranium in the Islamic State’s Fordo underground nuclear site near the holy Shiite city of Qom, 55 miles southwest of Tehran. Weapons grade is 90%. The report did not specify the number of particles found, but confirmed Iran is not stockpiling uranium enriched beyond 60% purity, used for a nuclear power plant to produce electricity.

Naturally, Iran denies any desire to create weapons-grade uranium, saying the 83.7% particles may have formed accidentally during ‘cascade configuration,’ which caused “unintended fluctuations” in enrichment levels. So far, the IAEA buys the explanation, but if configuring ‘a cascade’ can generate enrichment to 83.7%, it sounds as though the mullahs are onto something hot.

Yet on Sunday, C.I.A. Director William Burns told CBS News‘ “Face the Nation”that Iran is “not resuming” its nuclear weapons program. For decades, Tehran has denied trying to use uranium for anything other than peaceful purposes, so the admission by Burns was novel coming from Langley.

In 2018, 45th President Donald Trump withdrew from a hastily negotiated and poorly drafted nuclear treaty with Iran. That treaty had been made between then-Secretary of State John Kerry, under the Barack Obama administration, and Iranian diplomat Mohammad Javad Zarif, during 2015 Iran nuclear talks in Vienna.

Since then, Biden waived sanctions against Iran, but has been unwilling or unable to renegotiate a sensible treaty with the Supreme Leader, despite overtures from the Islamic government to do so. The spooky question is begged as to whose interests are advanced by this leak, as well as from Burns’ admission.

On Monday, reports that the Covid pandemic originated from a lab leak at the Wuhan virology lab were bandied about by the Dept. of Energy as if it was news. Recently the F.B.I., too, reached this conclusion. It isn’t. But at least it’s not repeating the World Health Organization’s and others’ propaganda that a lab leak was “highly unlikely.” The roughly 83.7% with an IQ higher than Biden’s have known the virus came from the Wuhan lab for years. Some have further suggested it wasn’t a lab leak, but an intentional weapon released by the C.C.P., presumably to cause economic turmoil throughout the world (which it certainly did in spades.)

Yet others have been quick to claim the Pentagon and C.I.A. were behind the viral pandemic by funding the gain-of-function research that produced it. Until a vigorous investigation is concluded and more data released to the public, it is hard to tell what is really true, but I would not be surprised to learn that the C.C.P. weaponized the virus, engineered illegally using Pentagon funds and/or other U.S. taxpayer money, and either intentionally or accidentally released it, causing a worldwide disaster. U.S. and allied intelligence probably figured it out and realized they shouldn’t let this good opportunity go to waste in tyrannizing, locking down, and controlling their populations. And, as luck would have it, it was election time in the U.S.

No one pays attention to Syria anymore, but earlier this month, Russia claimed a chemical attack blamed on Syria in Douma (slightly northeast of Damascus) in 2018 was a political hit piece by a chemical weapons watchdog, Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, to rationalize continued military aggression by the West against the Syrian government. Syria has been blamed for such attacks with some regularity for years, but accusations are, at best, below the fold, or at worst, buried in the classified section these days. It’s Ukraine all the time now.

The one-year anniversary of the Russian incursion into Ukraine was marked by the regime in Washington, D.C. by announcing another $2 billion arms package for conventional weapons for the corrupt nation, along with more sanctions targeting Russia. For now, Joey Biden won’t send them F-16 fighter jets, but may do so later.

And finally, on Monday, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen visited Ukraine with a promise of $10 billion from U.S. taxpayers to fund the government in Kyiv for government services and pensions for…Ukrainians.

Lucky for the world, the IAEA has publicly released a report on nuclear safety in Ukraine. The gist of the 52-page report (here) is that they’re on the case. Whew! The Military Industrial Complex is alive and well.

A Puppet Show for Putin

I WOKE UP THIS MORNING to “Breaking News” which at first I thought meant 98-year-old Jimmy Carter, 39th President of the United States, had died, on President’s Day. Over the weekend, it had been disclosed he had elected hospice care at home. It turned out the illegitimate occupant of the White House, Joey Biden, had made a (surprise!) visit to Kyiv, incorrectly pronounced by woksters as Keev; or Kiev, pronounced forever by Americans like the chicken dish.

Unbelievable! Biden couldn’t be bothered to go to our southern border to see the disaster there until very recently, and only after it was cleaned up for his quick flight on Air Force One in-and-out of a relatively unaffected area. He also couldn’t be bothered to go to East Palestine, Ohio to reassure the citizens there who had been victims of a chemical inferno after a rail derailment and the subsequent mismanagement that poisoned the air, land, and water regionally.

Biden was there for his pal Volodymr Zelensky. Possibly the two most corrupt people on the planet walked off together, not quite hand-in-hand, amidst the air sirens blaring needlessly in the otherwise quiet Potemkin village. In what might euphemistically be called a speech, Biden promised the Earth, Sun, and Moon to Ukraine’s president and his people. The two men then hugged like incestuous nonbinary brothers in a photo that went viral.

It seems the American taxpayer, i.e., the roughly 50% who actually do pay taxes, won’t have to pony up any money for their brethren in Ohio, but will be expected to fork over (“contribute”) billions or trillions for hotels, medical care, schooling, and other welfare payments to illegal aliens which Biden has welcomed inside our borders; and for the infrastructure, medical care, pensions, and who knows what all else for Ukrainians in Keev, Zelenskyland. (Staggering statistics here and here.)

Yes, Biden is going to pay for Ukrainians’ pensions while mulling over cuts for Social Security and Medicare for our own retirees here at home, who hope their payments won’t be cut before the nuclear bombs burst in the air. Oh, and Joey managed to find $185 million for aid to Turkey after a humungous earthquake in the region which killed thousands earlier month. Nothing for Assad’s Syria. We are, after all, quite literally broke.

The G.O.P., by and large, is letting Biden get away with his apparent money-laundering scheme to pay back his benefactor, Ukraine, for all the wealth he obtained having his family sell his political influence over many decades. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, for example, sings Biden’s tune, telling Fox News ahead of his trip to the Munich Security Conference that Ukraine “defeating the Russians in Ukraine is the single most important event going on in the world right now. It will save us an enormous amount of money down the road if the Ukrainians can succeed.” He echoed this sentiment at the conference, assuring the audience that the G.O.P. is committed to sending aid despite intra-party debate about expending our resources there. WTF? We don’t owe Ukraine diddly-squat.

Why do pols agree? Perhaps all these long-time career pols, sell influence (or their families do), and they feel compelled to stick together and protect one another. It’s also possible McConnell actually believes what he said, as preposterous as it is.

Here’s the argument: Putin will march into Poland after Kiev if we don’t stop him in his tracks now by whatever means necessary, and this would be extremely dangerous for Europe as a whole. Another argument is that China is watching us engage with Russia very carefully, and if we fail to take a hard line against Putin, China may be emboldened to reign in Taiwan, which would be bad for the world, especially, perhaps, the United States.

Those two arguments for our involvement in Ukraine are not compelling. First, with respect to Poland, it is a different story from Ukraine. Specifically, Poland is a NATO country. Ukraine is not. The U.S. would be mandated to come to Poland’s defense as the country that finances NATO the most. There is no such obligation (nor should there be) with Ukraine. In any event, it’s a moot issue because the Kremlin cannot even take control of Kiev, if we are to believe the Western press.

Second, while China is undoubtedly observing our policies around the globe, including those pertaining to Taiwan, we do have a vital national interest in Taiwan, whereas we do not in Ukraine. Taiwan manufactures the vast majority of high tech integrated circuits, those needed not just for gaming or video processing, but for the emerging technology in artificial intelligence, super-computing, quantum-computing, “Metaverse,” and for the manufacturing of value-added products such as self-driving cars or robots. We have unfortunately ceded such production overseas for reasons of cost.

We need the products, however, and they are vital to our future. As for McConnell, the Old Crow, as some have aptly nicknamed him, is mistaken, in any event, because Ukraine is not  the most important thing in the world to Americans and, lest these people need reminding, they work for Americans, not Ukrainians, Poles, Chinese, Taiwanese, Turks, or Mexicans.

America must come first now.

It’s Not Climate Change. It’s a Shake-Down.

FORMER SEN. JOHN KERRY (D-Mass.) and Secretary of State under Obama, now duly recycled as Brandon’s Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, has kept a low profile of late. The gigolo of high net-worth Teresa Heinz-Kerry of Heinz ketchup fame has been doing his climactic duty as an avid sailer, athletic windsurfer, and . . . jet-setter in his or other’s private jets to attend international climate events far and wide in style and luxury. But his low profile is now succumbing to heightened scrutiny.

The House Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) is reportedly investigating Kerry’s secret negotiations with Communist China and has formally requested documents and information about his role in the Biden regime. Information sought ranges from secret Kerry’s activities to office spending and staffing. The office has an annual budget of about $14 million. The press release may be read here. The letter sent to Kerry, here

Kerry has never been confirmed by the Senate for his newly-designated role with the regime within the State Department, which can apparently bind the U.S. to international agreements. He has nonetheless negotiated with the CCP on secretive climate deals that may have undermined American interests. Kerry’s role puts him in Biden’s cabinet and on the National Security Council.

Kerry was asked previously, in June 2021 and Oct. 2022, to provide information to the Committee, but he never responded even though he was reportedly in active negotiations with the CCP to form a group to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. China is the world’s number one emitter of greenhouse gases, accounting for 27%.

Meanwhile, the Biden regime has been pushing looney-tunes ideas to save the planet from the so-called climate crisis like banning gas stoves.  Astonishingly, he believes “climate change” is a greater threat to humanity than the nuclear war he is fomenting and for which he sought to spent a dizzying $36 billion on just in 2022.

Kerry is no stranger to investigation requests. In 2021, for example, pro-Israel groups wanted him to be subpoenaed by Congress to answer to accusations he told Iran about over 200  Israeli operations carried out in Syria against Iranian targets.

Can We Ever Cease Adventurism in Iraq and Syria?

ON THURSDAY, the C.C.P. puppet-in-chief occupying the White House apparently directed air strikes by the U.S. military in eastern Syria for some reason. The hit was on facilities the Pentagon believes belonged to Iran-backed militia, including Kata’ib Hezbollah and Kata’ib Sayyid al-Shuhada. at the Syrian-Iraqi border. There had been rocket attacks against U.S. targets in Iraq, according to reports by Reuters. The extent of damages was not immediately known, but some unsubstantiated reports suggest 17 people were killed.

An attack on February 15th wounded Americans, which Iraq is reportedly investigating which is presumably why the American response was isolated to Syria, for now at least. After the air strikes, an Iranian government website claimed Iranian and Syrian foreign ministers spoke regarding the necessity of the West to comply with U.N. Security Council resolutions pertaining to Syria.

Right now, in response to the U.S. abrogation of the poorly-negotiated treaty, the J.C.P.O.A., under President Trump, which had been forged by Obama Secretary of State John Kerry in 2015, the Islamic nation is enriching uranium and refusing to meet with anyone from the Biden regime until sanctions are lifted.

On the one hand, Iran’s position is understandable. They may legitimately fear the Jewish state’s nuclear weapons in their dangerous Middle Eastern neighborhood, as well the fact the U.S. and Israel have historically had such a close relationship. They therefore feel justified in enriching uranium to weapons-grade.

On the other hand, the U.S. under Trump had good reason to want to renegotiate such a poorly-negotiated treaty which was not in the country’s best short- or long-term interests. Part of the criticism was due to friendship with Israel and belief the agreement was actually a threat to the tiny state. Additionally, it was thought the agreement did not do enough to disarm Iran.

Dems such as constitutional lawyer Alan Dershowitz and G.O.P. Senator Mitch McConnell alike hated the deal, though obviously John Kerry liked it, as did his predecessor, Hillary Clinton. Harvard’s liberal Belfer Center believed concessions by the U.S. were too many for too little in return. Conservative think tank, Center for Security Policy, saw it as unverifiable and ‘toothless.’

Now, five years and three administrations later, we’re seeing how poorly it and our endless wars turned out.

Weak and Dumb Illegitimate Leader of the Unfree World Embarrasses Nation By Endangering a Dog in a Cruel Hoax Against a Neighborly and Devout Gentleman.

Late Saturday evening, President Trump tweeted a tease of a big announcement he’d make Sunday morning.  Being a weekend, however, it was unlikely he’d be announcing a Deep State indictment was being handed down.  Damn the luck.

Trump’s Libertarian Moment in Syria

Lately, President Donald Trump has not only been under fire for his perceived sins vis-a-vis Ukraine, but now it’s Syria, too.  Actually, his Syrian policy is nothing new—it’s just there’s a renewed interest in politically assaulting Trump about it.  Both progressives and RINOs are like smiling Cheshire Cats awaiting an unsuspecting mouse to devour the English cream cheese in a trap. His policy, they think and hope, is impeachably unforgivable. Continue reading “Trump’s Libertarian Moment in Syria”

The Beginning of the End: Round One of Democrat Mishegas (Part 1)

Round One of the Democrat “debates” began on Wednesday night with ten of many candidates on stage in Miami: Representative Tulsi Gabbard (HI), Senator Elizabeth Warren (MA), former congressman John Delaney (MD), Mayor Bill de Blasio (NY), Representative Tim Ryan (OH), Senator Amy Klobuchar (MN), Governor Jay Inslee (WA), former Housing Secretary (under Obama) Julian Castro, Representative Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke (TX), and Senator Cory Booker (NJ).

It was a mix of sexes, nationalities, races, home states, and even political opinions that would do any Democrat proud.

A Drudge Report poll declared Hawaiian Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard the winner at 40 percent.  Senator Elizabeth Warren followed in second place with 12.26 percent of the vote. Surprisingly, former Maryland congressman John Delaney came in third, and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, fourth.

Gabbard is a Hindu woman born in American Samoa. She is also an Iraq war veteran who wants to bring American forces home from Afghanistan and Iraq. She supported Bernie Sanders in 2016 and traveled to Damascus to meet with president Bashar Assad in January 2017 after he was believed to have used chemical weapons to suppress an internal uprising in the ongoing Syria civil war. Gabbard has claimed she was just trying to broker a peace agreement.

Embarrassingly, Gabbard had to correct Tim Ryan, who blamed American intervention after 9/11 on the Taliban, rather than accurately attribute it to Al-Qaeda.

In an equally embarrassing press moment, the AP misreported that former vice president Joe Biden worked with Republican segregationists senators when in fact he worked with Democrat segregationist senators.  To be fair, they corrected the error the next day, but the lack of historical awareness and institutional knowledge was pathetic.

Stay tuned. This promises to be a very long, tedious, and embarrassing campaign.
