The Guest and the Rest

THE HAMAS COMMANDER of the military wing of the group is Mohammed Deif. It is a nom de guerre that translates to “the Guest.” It is apt given the practice of militant Palestinians to sleep in a different bed of sympathizers every night. His ambition is simply to destroy Israel. Israeli intelligence service Shin Bet has a lengthy file on two generations of men in his family going back to the 1950s, but he remains a mystery even though they have attributed the death of well over 50 civilians to him.

He was well-known to Israeli security who nearly killed him two decades ago in an airstrike that cost him, literally, an arm and a leg (and an eye) and left him wheelchair-bound. A survivor of five Israeli attacks, he is revered by many aggrieved Palestinians. He video-taped a message that was chilling. It was released within hours of the attack on Israel on Saturday. He said:

“In light of the continuing crimes against our people, in light of the orgy of occupation and its denial of international laws and resolutions, and in light of American and Western support, we’ve decided to put an end to all this so that the enemy understands that he can no longer revel without being held to account.”

Videos were also released by Hamas on social media showing its militants paragliding over the border along with gruesome pictures of dead soldiers and terrified civilians. Footage was shown beheading soldiers. It wasn’t amateur hour. As of Monday evening, more than 900 Israelis have been killed, 2,600 injured, and others captured and taken hostage. Apparently the attack that was celebrated by Palestinians and Muslims worldwide, was rehearsed in plain sight. By Monday evening, U.S. time, Hamas threatened to execute 150 hostages online. It appears the analogy of it being Israel’s 9/11 was fairly accurate.

Some, including the third-largest Israeli newspaper Haaretz, blame Bibi Netanyahu for the deadliest attack on the Holy Land in a half decade when Egypt and Syria attacked in 1973’s Yom Kippur War. Netanyahu and his “fully-right government”  was derelict in identifying the dangers of his government’s practice of “annexation and dispossession” and the appointment of certain men hostile to Palestinians and Palestinian statehood who are intent on expanding Jewish settlements. The military and intelligence failures by his government does not absolve him of responsibility either, the newspaper opined. Brokering a peace deal with Saudi Arabia gave the Palestinians nothing, it added. Netanyahu’s three corruption cases, it claims, made him unable to look after affairs of the state.

Meanwhile, Israeli Foreign Affairs blames the European Union for funding “antisemitic propaganda.” And halfway around the world, there was plenty of blame for the completely incompetent Joey Biden, who has been illicitly occupying the White House since 2020. Specifically, he abandoned a massive cache of military weapons and equipment when he suddenly and irresponsibly bugged out of Afghanistan which, it appears, found its way to Israel.

Biden also unfroze $6 billion in assets of Iran in a recent prisoner swap, which, it also appears, was used to fund the attack on Israel. (Iran’s involvement via its militia, Hezbollah, has been acknowledged by Hamas.) Aside from that, Biden’s irresponsible, unmeasured, and unaccountable giveaway of American weapons, including equipment, supplies, and money, to Ukraine and its corrupt president, Volodymyr Zelensky, has resulted in the shipment of war spoils from fallen Ukrainian soldiers to Hamas militants, a fact admitted to by Kyiv. Plus, Biden has been distracted with his own corruption and that of his son, Hunter, as well as the many international and domestic issues plaguing what was recently considered the world’s most major power.

Netanyahu, for whatever his degree of fault may be, deemed Hamas “worse than ISIS” and vowed to get vengeance. He is, after all, a living master class in propagandizing. By Monday, his response had killed 3,000 in the two-day blitz over Gaza. A full-scale ground invasion is expected to commence on Tuesday. Some very graphic photographs have been published (and not yet censored by U.S. authorities) of the response in The Sun. With its 300 rocket launchers, 173,000 active troops, 465,000 reserve personnel, 2,200 tanks, and 601 planes, Israel’s complete response promises to be unforgiving and bloody. How the Iron Dome was overwhelmed isn’t clear, but undoubtedly, it will be examined.

Claiming “we are fighting human animals and we act accordingly,” Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant promised, “there will be no electricity, no food, no fuel, everything is closed,” referring to Gaza.

A senior Hamas official reportedly said the group was open to a possible ceasefire given it had “achieved its targets.” But Israel’s president, Isaac Herzog lamented that “not since the Holocaust have so many Jews been killed in one day,” and Netanyahu has officially declared war, so a ceasefire, understandably, wouldn’t seem likely to be on the negotiating table. Typical Palestinian mismanagement!

Meet 2022-2023’s New Democrats: Over Two Million of Them.

ACCORDING TO BORDER PATROL CHIEF Raul Ortiz, there has been a “1,000 percent increase” in illegal aliens entering the country from nations such as China and Afghanistan in FY 2022-23—a record. He should know: he’s worked at the border for over three decades. And he saw a record-high 2.2 million illegal alien encounters at the southern border in 2022. He retires next month, to be replaced by Jason Owens, who currently heads the Del Rio Sector.

Other aliens are arriving in large numbers from Algeria, Djibouti, the Dominican Republic, Egypt, Ethiopia, Mauritania, Paraguay, and Vietnam. Official statistics show Border Patrol encounters with Chinese aliens rose from 342 in FY 2021, to 1,987 in FY 2022. In FY 2023, that number soared to 8,753 encounters. Human rights abuses may account for migration, but is that new? Some blame the rise on Biden’s increasingly hostile stance against China and its threatening actions towards the self-ruled island of Taiwan, where some of the finest manufacturers supply the world with chips for high-tech electronics. Others say that younger Chinese are extremely pessimistic about China’s future

But what about other countries? The stats are silent on other encounters from, say, Afghanistan, but a report from March suggests over 150,000 afghans applied for special immigrant visas following the disastrous American withdrawal in August of 2021, just before the U.S.-backed Afghan government fled and the Taliban captured the nation’s capital, Kabul. Some we should’ve evacuated—and didn’t.

Meanwhile, the Biden regime continues to delude itself over the adverse affects of illegal aliens swarming into the country, demanding services we, who are actual taxpayers, simply cannot afford. (BTW, do we get our foreign aid back since they now get aid here?) Biden actually claimed after Title 42 ended, border crossings decreased. That defies credulity and the facts. So far in FY 2023, agents recorded over 1.8 million encounters at the border. And there is still time to exceed last year’s record. And to obtain accurate figures, which are being hidden.

Meanwhile, morale is exceptionally low amongst border patrol agents, who have been relegated to clerical and other duties they never signed up for. Perhaps Alejandro Mayorkas’ morale will similarly deteriorate if gutless G.O.P. wonders in Congress get the cahones to finally impeach him. Just this week, he extended temporary protected status amidst the migration crisis he himself created.

It’s NOT Anti-American to Hear the Russian President Out.

NOT MANY AMERICANS really want to struggle through the prodding overdubbed female voice translating Russian President Vladimir Putin’s equivalent of a lengthy and pontificating state-of-the-union address. The headline about him “suspending” or abrogating the New START nuclear arms treaty with the U.S. (which is technically illegal under international law) sufficed. All we need to know about Vlad is he caused the war—and inflation. Along with Trump, of course, because the two are co-conspirators—of something. The Federalist’s Eddie Scarry, however, took a stab at interpreting Putin’s speech last week, and I think he was right on target. Here are his other three big takeaways, quoting from the Russian leader’s speech. (Speech translated here.)

First, “[t]he U.S. has used Ukraine to prepare for a large war. They have publicly admitted that.” Scarry cites Biden’s proclamation that Putin “cannot remain in power.” He also called Putin a war criminal. This threat of regime change isn’t only evidence Putin thinks the U.S. is anticipating a long conflict, it’s an existential threat, and a very personal one, at that. That Biden made a ‘surprise’ visit to Kyiv last week wasn’t just a statement he (and by extension the U.S.) stands behind Ukraine, it was a provocation on its own. That Biden keeps giving away American taxpayers’ money to Zelensky to underwrite two-thirds of the war’s costs makes it clear money is no object to him (even if it to the taxpayers.) (Biden would be wise to recognize the Putin he knows is better than whoever takes over is likely to be, whether it be the saber-rattling Dmitri Medvedev or someone else.)

Second, “[t]he West is guilty of escalation.” Scarry notes NATO expansion has been the cards for a while as a “vanity project” for both parties. This is true enough, but Biden has advanced the cause unlike anyone else, save for select Neocons, which he himself is not. The late Sen. John McCain’s lapdog, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), have been particularly outspoken regarding the defeat of Russia. Putin’s failure to advance in Ukraine under the Trump administration isn’t because Trump and Putin were red co-conspirators. Trump simply wasn’t looking to expand NATO, as Biden is, and actually expected member nations to foot the measly two-percent of GDP they agreed to pay for their own defense rather than expect U.S. taxpayers to.

Third,[t]hey [the West] want to have a strategic defeat of Russia…” Scarry observes this is not inconsistent with anything Biden or most of Congress has said, adding no one in the West would resume regular trade or cooperation with Russia if it retreated from Ukraine immediately. If true, and I believe it is, why would Russia be inclined to retreat in the first place?

The problem is simple to explain; difficult to resolve. There is absolutely no incentive for Putin to do anything different than trying to make certain NATO isn’t lurking around with hidden bombs to take Russia out and him with it. Ukraine’s entry into NATO has always been a red line for Putin. Can’t Russia have its own equivalent of a Monroe Doctrine?  Or a modernized Brezhnev Doctrine?

Scarry concludes by saying Putin is not irrational. This is evident by Putin’s words and behavior, despite American spooks planting seeds of Putin’s physical and mental decline, or even his death. Between the West’s incessant prevarication, patronizing, and provocation, it’s a wonder the “special military operation,” that no one doubts is a full-fledged proxy war, isn’t spurring more deadly force from Putin.

Perhaps Russia is hoping for a negotiated settlement, but that seems a bit…irrational. Maybe it’s inept. It’s notable the Kremlin hasn’t done much with the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS). Maybe military equipment hasn’t been tended to over decades of relative peace there. While the U.S.S.R.’s losses in Afghanistan (nine years) were significant (as were ours), Russia has been out of the opium den since 1989 (unlike us). Putin was KGB then and had to learn from the experience, although apparently, not enough. (Summary here, albeit with a pronounced accent.)

Years of disuse may also be evident in the reported failure of a RS-28 Sarmat, or Satan II intercontinental missile test launch by Russia on Feb. 18th, although a test in 2022 was allegedly successful. Per the New START, Russia notified the U.S. of the test. (Also per convention, Russia was put on notice of Biden’s trip to Ukraine to ensure safe passage at about the same time.) Yet, while Russian weapons may be rusty from disuse, ours are conveniently being amassed in neighboring Ukraine, but inconveniently in the hands of among the most corrupt nations on earth.

At this first anniversary of Putin’s invasion of Ukraine and Biden’s fomenting of a WWIII, it isn’t clear what Putin will do. Some experts think he’ll resort to so-called asymmetric warfare. Maybe he already has and we just don’t know it yet. But the C.I.A., too, engages in suchthings and are just as guilty of propaganda, disinformation, deception, sabotage, assassination, psy-ops, cy-ops, and any of a number of other KGB tactics. It’s just what these people do.

Corruption Seems to Pay Big. Publishing About it Costs Big.

THINGS WERE BETTER WHEN WIKILEAKS was a thing. (Nothing has been posted there for nearly two years.) Still, leaks do happen as well they should. Something called Marco Polo, for example, leaked over 128,000 emails from Hunter Biden’s “laptop from hell” that had been abandoned at an authorized Apple repair shop in Delaware just months before the 2020 election.

Someone named Garret Ziegler, who was an assistant to Peter Navarro, the advisor to 45th President Donald Trump, apparently formed the organization. He posted the emails with a searchable database to the website BidenLaptopEmails.com where they can be downloaded. Marco Polo wrote:

“Here are the 128k emails from the Biden Laptop, which is a modern Rosetta Stone of white and blue collar crime under the patina of the Delaware Way,” Marco Polo said in a statement posted on the website. Prior to the discovery of the Rosetta Stone, a number of ancient languages were mere gibberish and hash marks. Similarly, the emails on the Biden Laptop illuminated previously convoluted webs of the people you see leading the charge for global governance; truly, the emails can be considered a translation tool for Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) gathering.”

Among the more interesting ones was one that can be found using the search “10 for the big guy,” which was purportedly sent by Hunter’s business partner James Gilliar where he seemingly indicated Hunter ought to hold 10% from a multi-million-dollar deal from the Chinese on behalf of Joe Biden, a/k/a “the big guy.”

In another email, Hunter relayed he owed a favor to a Mexican billionaire’s son, who had described how he assisted in getting Hunter to the White House, presumably referring to Joe’s ascendancy to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

As one forages through this trip down Crack Way, one wonders if there may not be ample evidence of criminal conspiracy of official corruption by the Bidens for a conviction?

Meanwhile, as Marco Polo takes over WikiLeaks’ bailiwick, Spanish media reports a court order there suggests that communications between WikiLeaks’ publisher Julian Assange and his attorneys may have been illegally surveilled by the C.I.A. in London. Assange faces 175 years in prison if convicted in the U.S. for publishing damning military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

One may wonder why corruption goes unpunished but publishing about it doesn’t?

What Was the Pentagon Doing with Bio-Labs in Ukraine?

RECENTLY DOCUMENTS WERE LEAKED that indicated that contractors for the Pentagon worked in bio-laboratories in Ukraine with highly dangerous pathogens, hidden from the public. This is a new development to U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland’s revelations last week that Ukraine had such labs, and the later suspicion that the Pentagon merely funded these labs. Of course, it’s a salient question as to why the Pentagon would have anything at all to do with foreign bio-labs, anyway.

Apparently these activities were funded by something called the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, which allocated $80 million for biological research in Ukraine as of July 30, 2020. The information was obtained from the U.S. Federal Contractor Registration which showed DTRA had paid Black & Veatch Special Project Corp., a U.S. company, as the program administrator. (It sounds like a C.I.A. front to me, but I don’t want to get out over my skis on this slippery slope.)

B&V appears to be an employee-owned engineering firm specializing in power, oil, and gas infrastructure development; telecommunications; mining; and banking and finance markets. It is located in Overland Park, KS. It secured over $1 billion in contract work in Afghanistan, and revenue of over $3.7 billion in 2020.

B&V was sued by dozens of Taliban-injured U.S. soldiers who accused the firm of violating the U.S. Anti-Terrorism Act by paying illegal protection money to the Taliban. According to their complaint, it is estimated the Taliban paid between $100- to $155 million to launch attacks in 2011, and another $300 million to continue the insurgency. The protection money the Taliban received was thought to be one of its largest and most reliable revenue streams.

Internal documents supplied by an alleged former employee of the Ukrainian Ministry of Health and posted on Reddit indicates the Ukrainian bio-labs were made accessible to Pentagon contractors, but not to independent experts. The labs had been built after an agreement in 2005 spearheaded by then-Sen. Barack Obama. (This may explain all his “present” votes; he was too busy representing foreign interests to pay attention to much at home.)

Another revealing document is a letter dated July 2, 2019 from the Ukrainian Ministry of Health, Ulana Supren, to DTRA, giving B&V full access to all bio-labs in Ukraine involved in the U.S. military biological research program. Suprun is an American national who was granted Ukrainian citizenship by the nation’s former president in 2015. Supren also denied access to experts from the scientific journal, Problems of Innovation and Investment Development. No independent public control group of experts was allowed to supervise the bio-labs.

Another DTRA contractor involved in Ukraine was CH2MHill out of Englewood, CO. (It also sounds a little spooky.) It had managed the $5.26 billion Panama Canal expansion and management consultancy services for the Iraq Common Seawater supply project. Here, it was awarded a $22.8 million contract between 2020-2023 to reconstruct and equip two new bio-labs: the State Scientific Research Institute of Laboratory Diagnostics and Veterinary-Sanitary Expertise in Kyiv, and the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection Regional Diagnostic Laboratory in Odesa. CH2MHill was tasked with a $11.6 million program called “Countering Especially Dangerous Pathogen Threats in Ukraine.”

Between 2019-2020, German and Ukrainian scientists conducted research on especially dangerous pathogens in birds including carrying out sequencing of genomes of orthomyxoviruses (causative agents of avian flu) and generally discovering new bird viruses in these labs.

The Russian Ministry of Defense believes DTRA funded a similar project in Ukraine in 2020, involving migratory birds, including the highly pathogenic H5N1 flu, which can prove lethal for humans in about 50% of cases. (But they’re just evil Ruskies, so who knows.) Newcastle disease was also studied. Apparently, the Smithsonian Institution and the U.S. Department of Defense had conducted a major research study of migratory birds as possible delivery vectors for pathogens at one time.

Covert Action Magazine has provided links to scientific PDFs which were removed from the U.S. embassy in Kyiv, that purport to show that the Pentagon did, in fact, fund the bio-labs in Ukraine, here.

No wonder Anthony Fauci is keeping such a low profile these days!

Afghan Aftermath

IT APPEARS WE’RE OFF TO THE RACES in another war before we’ve even realized the full after effects of Joe Biden’s seriously botched U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan last summer.

One thing is for certain, though: American taxpayers, the roughly 50% of the population who actually pays income taxes, are picking up the tab for the Afghanistan disaster. It appears the installed puppet-in-chief who naps in the White House during the week has plans to give visas to tens of thousands of Afghanis.

Over 76,000 refugees and 2,000 Afghani students studying here will be allowed to remain in the United States for at east 18 months, the regime’s D.H.S. Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas announced on Wednesday. The only requirements are that they already be in the country and pass a background check. Many were settled with “humanitarian parole” in D.C., Virginia, California, and, surprisingly, Texas.

Note this doesn’t include Afghanis who worked for the U.S. as interpreters or in other support capacities. They largely remain behind in a Taliban Disneyland with its rollercoaster economy. Their fate may be starvation, or even worse.

Certain advocates have demanded Congress pass the Afghan Adjustment Act, which would grant Afghanis permanent residency and allow them to apply for citizenship. Obviously, none of this would ever have had to even be contemplated had the U.S. used the military for special ops to take out select terrorists rather than for a highly protracted engagement in policing a Third World country.

This is all in addition to the legal immigrants and refugees from elsewhere around the world that the U.S. welcomes every year, along with all the illegal migrants who flaunt American law and invade the country despite it being at least in the United States Code, if not in practice, unlawful. It’s also in addition to what will surely be a mass migration from Ukraine, whose citizens are granted temporary protected status here. Many, or even most, may be wonderful people, but ask almost any Gen-Z American about our housing shortage. We should first look out for ourselves.

UPDATE: On 3/17, Mayorkas said anyone claiming to be Ukrainian arriving illegally would be allowed to stay, even if things turn out badly like in France.

Who’s In Charge Here, Anyway?

FOX NEWS’ TUCKER CARLSON interviewed Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn on Thursday night. Flynn confirmed what we all suspect: that there is some Deep State running the show. The Deep State that no one elected and that 45th President Donald J. Trump dubbed, aptly, the Swamp. “We have two separate governments. We have one that actually gets elected and goes into office. And then you have a government inside of Washington, D.C. that operates under no rules, no authority other than their own or whoever is in charge,” Flynn confirmed.

Carlson observed, and Flynn agreed, the government in the Biden regime looks as though it “is still controlled by Barack Obama.” To support his theory, Carlson noted that climate “czar” John Kerry actually confirmed this week that Joe Biden was completely unaware of what his own security agencies were up to when they enraged our ally, France, when the U.S. cut a submarine deal that interfered with an agreement put in place with allies Australia and the United Kingdom. This story received a fair amount of press inasmuch as it was a gratuitous slap by the United States that Biden apparently had no clue had occurred.

In another example, White House press secretary Jen Psaki pinned the blame for the ongoing conflict between the Department of Justice that recently took to calling parents at school board meetings upset over Covid policies and the teaching of Critical Race Theory to children in public schools. Not Joe, she said, it’s those rascals at the D.O.J. that was “going after dissenting moms on their own and [questions should be] referred…to them.” (Brackets mine.)

Then, of course, there’s the blaming of the Afghanistan disaster on the military or the border crisis on Trump. I guess for Biden it’s the best of both worlds. He’s president (albeit illegitimately), but can blame all the bad stuff on others.

The world does seem like it is being run by a particularly dark side of Obama in some sort of parallel universe, but I’d add that he seems to have been bought and paid for by Xi of China. I guess we’re all relegated to the wait game — waiting for The Donald to run and win again. By the looks of the h-u-g-e crowd at his Iowa rally Saturday night, it’s hard to believe he wouldn’t win in a landslide.

Yes, Virginia, There Apparently IS a “Deep State.” Biden is Ignoring It.

Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley has so many medals on his uniform, you’d think he not only served his country, but founded it and died a hundred deaths for it, as well. His service, though, is under attack since it was reported he made two secret phone calls to his Chinese counterpart, Gen. Li Zuocheng of the People’s Liberation Army.

The calls reportedly occurred one year ago on October 30, 2020, right before the presidential election, and two days after the January 6th events at the Capitol. The calls apparently expressed fear that the 45th President would create conflict with Communist China, according to a book entitled “Peril” by The Washington Post associate editor Bob Woodward and national political reporter Robert Costa.

Given the allegations were published in book form, it is clear the two men sat on the story for at least three months while it was being published, despite the alleged danger Trump was posing in the interim. All for the almighty advance, apparently.

Milley reportedly told Zuocheng that if the U.S. were to attack, he’d let him know ahead of time. He made the promise ostensibly because he thought President Trump was not of sound mind. There’s a reasonable question as to whether or not this act by Milley constituted treason, but it seems likely it minimally abrogated the proper chain of command. It is also a certainty that despite his protests to the contrary, Milley is, in fact, a political animal, not the apolitical and dispassionate general he purports to be. He clearly is contemptuous of the 45th president who gave him his position, making him at least disloyal. (Milley placated the politically “woke” earlier this year when he spoke about Critical Race Theory and “white rage,” showing his political bent.)

As for the Jan. 6th conversation, Milley offered further denials, or at least demurrals. He said he told House Speaker Nancy Pelosi that he wasn’t qualified to opine on President Trump’s mental status, which she had described as “crazy.” Milley also apparently kept notes designating Newsmax and The Epoch Times (notoriously critical of the C.C.P.) as domestic terrorist organizations, according to Peril. But conveniently, just as Biden doesn’t remember anything about 2,500 troops, Milley can’t recall two conservative media outlets.

At a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing on Tuesday, Milley defended his his actions by claiming he believed it to be his responsibility to prevent a potentially deadly misunderstanding between two superpowers. He further asserted his calls were not secret and the Pentagon leadership knew about them. He said he briefed then-Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows. (Pompeo has since flatly denied this.) Milley testified he wasn’t talking behind Trump’s back because Trump had no intention of attacking China since his inner circle was being actively managed by something called the Senior Executive Service (presumably the Deep State), and Milley just wanted to allay concerns of Chinese intelligence officials.

Actually at issue in the Committee hearing is the occupant of the White House, Joe Biden’s, complete and utter disastrous precipitous withdrawal of troops in Afghanistan and the strategic failure there. Biden claims he was never advised to leave 2,500 troops in the region going forward to keep the peace. The military, including Milley, claim otherwise. (The Washington Post “fact-checkers” unsurprisingly sided with Biden.) This could easily form a basis for impeachment that could lead to Biden’s resignation if Republican stars ever manage to align. (Privately, Milley blames the State Department for the failure and ensuing chaos.)

Bob Woodward, co-author of Peril, isn’t exactly a bastion of honest reporting. In a book from the ‘80s, Veil: The Secret Wars of the C.I.A.,” he claimed to have interviewed Reagan’s C.I.A. director, William Casey, on his deathbed, but agency security officials later said he had not, and couldn’t have in any event since Casey was unable to communicate due to a massive stroke.

One thing is for certain: no one looks good or even credible here, except a few senators propounding thoughtful questions and requests for Milley to resign, as well as perhaps the 45th president.

Milley says he serves at the president’s pleasure and will not resign.

Flight Delays at MZR

AT AN AIRPORT BUILT BY AMERICANS in Northern Afghanistan during the Cold War in the 1960s, the Mazar I Sharif International Airport (MZR), six planes full of Americans and Afghan “interpreters” are apparently being held hostage. Otherwise, they’re taxiing in seeming perpetuity because the world is descending upon the tony vacation spot in such numbers that the air traffic controllers and airport infrastructure can’t keep up with demand.

Rep. Michael McCaul, the ranking Republican on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, on Fox News on Sunday morning said the Taliban is preventing the planes from departing because “they want something” in return. They’ve reportedly been there for days, though MSM has been reporting on other things.

McCaul suspects the Taliban wants cash and recognition of their legitimacy by the U.S. as a quid pro quo. Which is kind of funny because how legitimate can an illegitimate regime be if they’re deemed legitimate by another illegitimate regime?   (Isn’t that kind of like having Donald Trump endorse a Democrat?) And which is kind of not funny because the whole situation is so tragic yet was so preventable, and now Mr. and Ms. American Taxpayer will eat crow for their own illegitimate puppet regime that is legitimizing the other illegitimate one. Yet the whole thing may make a lot of sense once you train your mind as to how to think about it.

The Conservative Treehouse explains it thusly. There are two teams. The first has as its members DoS, C.I.A., and other intelligence agencies. Its media partners are CNN, CNNi, Politico, Reuters, and The Washington Post. The second has the White House, Pentagon, and National Security Council. Its partners are ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox. Right now, Team One is winning, having leaked some devastating information the W.H. and Pentagon just as soon sweep under the tarmac. Team Two is trying to rehabilitate Joint Chiefs Chairman Mark Milley. If it goes predictably, C.T. says the DoS will legitimize the Taliban (and by extension, the Muslim Brotherhood.) The Foreign Relations Committee of the U.S. Senate will help. The two teams will then kiss and make up. The Taliban will be considered an ally against ISIS (ISIS-k). Once both teams evade blame for the collapse of the Potemkin village, it is thought, the laundering of taxpayer money will have been a success and the Deep State can get back to their old “normal.”

I’m not sure the C.T. is exactly right, but it is plausible and seems headed in that direction. Perhaps it really boils down to everyone just wanting to cover their asses after, as they say, chaos ensues. Anything that distracts from the chaos covers an ass or two, so…

So what has MSM been covering? A CNN page presented an article: “Tradition of Afghan girls who live as boys may be threatened.” Remarkably, it purports to be serious. Covid, too, remains a favorite. Kids in masks. Unvaccinated dying in hospitals. Vaccinated dying in hospitals. Boosters for all to record on the “vaccine passports.”

Then there is royal news. Harry and his spoilt fame- and fortune-seeking wife want to get their latest kid, Lilabet, christened in Britain. The Queen is royally P.O.’d that Operation London Bridge, her funeral plans, were leaked and made public. The Queen has plans for her Platinum Jubilee next year to celebrate her 70 years on the throne before she cashes in her pounds and goes to a better place than Britain, however. So there’s that.

Pick your distracting poison.

Welcome to Americanistan. (Now Go Home.)

WHILE SPOKESPERSON JENN PSAKI tries to ban any utterances about abandoning Americans in Afghanistan, we learned on Friday that the Biden regime is about to admit more than 50,000 evacuated Afghanistan refugees, woefully unvetted. (And yes, as Americans are left behind to perhaps be slaughtered by the Taliban.)  In that cringeworthy Newspeak that the Dems like to use, D.H.S. Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is calling it an “enduring commitment.” “This is not just a matter of the next several weeks. We will not rest until we have accomplished the ultimate goal,” he proclaimed. (The what?!)

Over 40,000 have already arrived in the U.S. and are being resettled at taxpayer expense. Joint Base personnel are working to fly refugees out of the newly-minted Emirate of Afghanistan to undisclosed locales, which tells you something.

Jack Markell, the former governor of Biden’s home state where he frequently dwells in his basement to evade White House record-keeping requirements about his guests, will serve as coordinator in “Operation Allies Welcome.” Markell’s appointment will last at least through the year. Most Afghans are being housed on military bases throughout the country because what else would anyone do with a military base? Among the bases are Fort McCoy in Wisconsin (8,800); Fort Lee, Virginia (1,700); Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (3,700); Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico (650); Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia (800); Fort Pickett, Virginia (3,650); and Camp Atterbury, Indiana (65).

Apparently Fort Dix, NJ is in the mix, too. The Base Commander has issued no photo-video orders on the press to prevent reporting and memorializing of the Afghan resettlement processing. As many as 9,500 Afghan refugees could live at the base for a year. The order is ostensibly in place to protect the Afghans who may have helped the American side since the Taliban will be looking for them, though it’s not clear how they’d get to New Jersey to behead them. (Or is it?)

Just to make sure the refugees don’t feel ‘excluded,’ the Biden regime is giving them belated ‘stimmies,’ i.e., the $1,250 one-time checks some Americans and illegal aliens received several times, but about half of Americans never got at all due to arbitrary phase-outs. American civilians are apparently as effective as Afghan troops in defending their own country from invasion. Allah help us!
